Hello again, friends! For the last couple of years I have been involved with a ministry called "Dress A Girl Around the World". (You can read more about them here.) I absolutely love serving the Lord by making dresses for little girls around the world. Once a month, a few of us ladies from church get together and make dresses for the DAG (Dress A Girl) organization. These are actually called "Pillow Case Dresses" because you make a dress out of a pillow case. If using a pillowcase is not your thing (like me), you can purchase fabric, make a tube to resemble a pillow case, and sew a dress from there.
The pattern to make these dresses can be found here on the DAG site.
These are the first dresses that I ever made almost 2 years ago. I actually learned how to sew by putting these dresses together. I have been in love with sewing since!
I purchase most of my fabrics at Joann's. I try to find the nicest cotton fabrics that my dollars can afford. It's such a rewarding experience making these dresses, let me tell ya! Once the dresses are done, we sew a little tag on them with the DAG logo (like you see above).
If you are someone who sews and has a heart for serving, please consider the DAG organization. You can feel good knowing that your dress will be in the hands of a little girl who may never have worn a dress in here life!
Thanks again for stopping by, friends. Hope you have an uber awesome day! God Bless!!
