Quilting!

Have I mentioned lately how much I've been wanting to quilt? A little over a couple of years ago, for my birthday, Mr. Tuki gave me the gift of a quilting class. I was so excited! I had always wanted to learn how to put a quilt together.

The class wasn't too far from my house which was perfect. There were a total of 4 classes, each being 2 hours. What was even better was that it was on Sundays. Mr. Tuki stayed home with the kiddos while I attended my class. I learned how to put the quilt together, but not necessarily how to cut the pieces of fabric I needed. The class left a lot to be desired, but I still managed to make my quilt after lots of trial and error!

Here's a little sneak peek of the quilt I made. Sadly, I haven't made a quilt since. I was a bit discouraged since the teacher really didn't teach us the mechanics of quilting (how to read a pattern, making our own cuts, etc.) But that's ok. I have found tons of videos on YouTube that have been really helpful. I've also purchased some quilting books and magazines.

I'll post a picture of my finished quilt in a few days. Stay tuned! ;)  Have a lovely day friends!
