The school that my kids used to attend is having a school fundraiser/auction dinner in a few weeks. One of my friends, whose kids still attend the school, asked if I would make some items to sell at the silent auction. She knows I would never turn down such a request! :)
I made a few things, but I'll post them over the next three days or so.
The first thing I made were these pillow box favors. I thought they
would be perfect as favors for a Thanksgiving dinner table!! I used
craft colored cardstock for the box and acorn, and patterned paper for
the acorn top. I then wrapped a piece of pumpkin colored tulle around
it, and then also tied a piece of twine that holds the acorn. I inked the edges for some added dimension and used a Versamark stamp to stamp a maple leaf image on the box. A
host/hostess can write their guests name on the little acorn.
I made 1 dozen pillow boxes that I laid on this plate with the saying
"Give Thanks" in brown vinyl. It's a special little extra that I added
for whomever bids and wins this auction. They can use the plate as a
decorative display during the Thanksgiving season.
Once I finished the boxes and plate, I wrapped them in clear cellophane and tied it with the same pumpkin colored tulle!
I hope someone enjoys these as much as I enjoyed making them!
I'm excited to be posting to my blog again. I know too much time passes between posts, but I'm so glad it's still here waiting for me! :)
Thank you for visiting! God bless!!
